Hey Guys,
I usually frequent the RAT forum but I just found out today that I can order SOG knives at wholesale costs through my work. I have been in the market for a good folder and a good slicer. My EDC blade right now is usually an RC-4 as well as an Izula. The RC-4 plays beating duty and is used for any real tough work while the Izula is my slicer. Both blades are too thick in my opinion for real fine slicing. So I have always wanted a SOG blade but the price was a bit much and now that I can order for super cheap I have started looking again! I was thinking maybe the Topo? The blade wont see too much "hard" use such as batoning or whittiling but it will see slicing...and lots of it. From envelopes lined with bubble wrap to boxes, tape, paper, food and even small diameter rope. I work at a wholesaler and do returns so I am constantly opening boxes and cutting tape and plastic.
So if you guys could help me out...here are the criteria:
Small (relatively)
Pocket Clip
Not too bulky
Plain Edge!
Easy to sharpen I.E. not too curvy and "elegant"
I would also appreciate a blade that was not made in Taiwan if you could.
Thanks for all the help guys,
Floyd
