Hi! As the title says, what's the most popular for sale source, or just keep watching the usual knife forums for sale section?

Being a little late to "nicer" slip joints, I'd like to get a couple to catch up so to speak.

Thanks guys!

Joe

Hi Joe, Just so you know, any responses to your question need to be BladeForums dealer members, if they are posted here. Any non member dealers are not to be mentioned. Any of you who have ideas for Joe, outside of our Dealer Member community, should communicate outside the discussion threads, PM, VM etc. Thanks!

I always have my eye on the exchange forums here. Lotsa good stuff!

Not sure if Mr Clean is sold in Australia. Perhaps a fuller answer is appropriate.

In 1957, our beloved Mr. Clean icon was born. Mr. Clean was created by Chicago Art Director Ernie Allen. Mr. Clean went without a first name for approximately 5 years until he was given the name “Veritably” during a “Give Mr. Clean a First Name” promotion.

There's a factoid I never knew. His first name.

Exchange forums here is a great place for used knives, you just have to be both patient and vigilant. The good deals get snapped up quick. Next stop is a giant auction site, where "buyer be cautious" is the watchword.

Mr Clean! Ok thanks -never heard of him -we have Mr Sheen(furniture polish spray) but he is a little old professor guy.
I actually thought it is Joe58 himself given some phone app treatment that makes you look like a cartoon. sorry.(but hey what a great idea)

Oh man - that's funny. Sometimes a guy forgets the international reach the forums have. I figured everybody knows Mr. Clean. He's been around forever here. And I didn't know he had a first name though. Good stuff. And he's much better looking than I am. Never seen him use a knife though, just a sponge or towel.

Joe, sometimes I'm surprised where I find a decent old knife; check gunshops, auto parts stores, hardware stores, collectible stores and collectible malls, antique shops (the junkier ones!) lumberyards, sporting goods stores and pawn shops. Often they are displaying current items, but if you ask you might find a guy pulls out an old one from a bottom shelf or store room. In the past year I have found quite a few older (70's, 80's, 90's) pocketknife's following this method of looking. Good Luck! OH

Ps I found this NIB 58OT Ulster Old Timer in a small auction house/collectible shop in a little town I was passing through a week ago - I stopped for 10 minutes and looked around - lots of junk, but one real prize sitting on a display shelf (I missed it first walk through - always ask - the owner pointed it out to me).

That is one cool Prince Albert can. I've never seen one. That's a good idea Hunter, there are two or three old pawn shops in the area I'll have to browse. Didn't think of them. :)

The Exchange is full of deals. If you want a #15 pattern knife, jump on it right away. Collectible Knives/Knife Swapper, OKBOHN/Knives Ship Free, New Graham knives. For new blades.
