I Am bumed out and charged up at the same time.

I just found out that the Great State of Israel will not allow importation of knives greater than 10 cm (3.93 inch). Kitchen knives are supposed to be exempt from this rule.

What's the perfect answer to these Ghetto laws? Make your own! :p

So I would like to know if any of the "knife people" here can help me out by suggesting some goood sources of Supply for a begining knife maker. For power eqpt. Preferably, the supplier will have 220V machines, that is the standard voltage round here. Supliers of belts, Anvils, Hammers, Steel- not all my tools will be elecric of course.

Need cheap but good if possible, next in line would be "the best" for a reasonable price.

Not sure if I will forge or grind...maybe both!

Thanks for any help.

Hi Tzvi ,
I think it is better to try to find tool suppliers locally .
Go to you local “Azor Tahacyj ” and ask where the “balabait” buying tools, etc…
Also you can order an grinder without the motor in USA and then buy an 220V motor locally.
But again, I think it’s make no sense because the “mas gvul” ……

I have made "Yerida" a few times now, always seem to come back to the land....The Government is only outstripped by the efficiency and brain power of certain central african republics, and taxes are going up (again), but when all is said and done this is my home.
