I just used my beat up Centofante 3, and will order another one tomorrow! I own lot of spydercos , few benchmades and kershaws, and nothing can even come close to this knife in slicing ability! The hollow grind and thin blade is just awesome, not too thin either, just perfect!I dont own spyderco stretch, as it might be close.........this beats my ffg delica and endura big time.........lol!

If you can find an FRN caly jr it is a great slicer.

Military is pretty good, big enough to slice up an apple without getting gunk in the liner.

Depends, to at least some extend, on what's being sliced but the Chaparral gets my vote as Spyderco's best slicing folder. It uses (2mm) blade stock, like the Centofante, but couples it with a broader blade that's full flat ground and very thin behind the edge. The result is less wedge effect, and thus less resistance, when slicing thicker, firmer, material. As for the absolute best slicer Spyderco has ever offered, the K05 Utility Knife wins by a mile.

the chapparal is in my pocket now.

my one and only spyderco and i love the textured carbon fiber and the blade is sharp out of the box.

mine came from feebay

They are all pretty good probably but if you want hardcore slicing performance you will generally need to either modify or go custom (production knives need to suit a wider audience to be successful).

Several Spyderco knives seem like standouts to me for modify-ability. I like the ZDP stretch and the Endura. Properly reground and thinned down a bit, these are true standouts for slicing performance!

I would vote Caly 3 but my favorite (cheating) is a Krein regrind on an Endura FFG to 0.010" behind the edge. IDK if Mr. Krein is doing regrinds right now, but there are others. I highly recommend every knife guy gets at least one!

Edit: I change my vote to Chokwe.
