I am in the market for a new Spyderco. But I want to spend under 100 US dollars. I would appreciate the suggestions.

I have the Paramiltary 2 and love it. I just want to hear different opinions on what to get next. I would just like to stay around $100.

hard to improve on a pm2... esp for under $100
...
for my 2 cents, look at an under 3' blade size (to be more law-friendly) and a good steel, the option narrows down to the chap in cts-xhp (and bonus, they seem to be on sale for under $90)

Are you thinking smaller/light weight (Delica) or more robust (Manix 2)? If you don’t provide more information, you will get suggestions for every single model under $100. I don’t know what benefit that will be.

are you wanting smaller, bigger, the same? i think you've got the right spyderco, if i wanted something smaller or bigger, i'd look at a mini griptilian or griptilian. i think other than your PM2, they're the best package for right around 100. spyderco endura or delica are ok if you like lock backs. manix are nice spydercos, the spring lock takes some getting used to.

Buying a used one on this forum is my suggestion. Just buy from someone with alot of positive feedback so you know you'll get what they described.

+1. I'd look for a Manix 2 (S30V not the BDS 1 steel), Para 2 or 3 (depending on blade length you want), and even a Yojimbo if you like Wharncliffe blades.

You can always go for a Delica 4 FFG or Endura too if you don't want to wait too. The Delicas and Enduras are classics for a reason.

if I was getting a manix, I'd pay 50% more than the budget on this thread, and get the lockback g10 version in s30v, (I don't like the fibreglass based handles they use, but I do like that dusk blue colour, wish they made it in g10)

I would recommend any of the Delica or Endura line, a Chap LW, Native LW, or a Manix 2 LW. Depends what you are using it for and if you want to go smaller or larger.

Lots of great options really and if I dug more I might find 3 better top picks but I could list quite a few just to give you options as well.

A used and patina'd Gayle Bradley 1 or 2 off the exchange. They come up from time to time for $100 or just a little less.

The Chaparral FRN is hard to beat as a slicer, and it disappears in the pocket. It also fits surprisingly well in the hand. The Chaparral is not designed for hard use. Great fit & finish as well.

The Native 5 LW is a great all-around user and larger than the Chaparral, though still with a sub-3-inch blade. It's not nearly as good as at the Chap for slicing but can take harder use.

Many people love the Dragonfly, and you can get the ZDP-189 version for <$100. The cutting edge is less than 2 inches long.
