Best Stonewash Finish

There is no real art to a stonewash finish, unfortunately.

I haven't seen any that I love, or any that I hate....it's like bead blast....some are good , some are better....but they all serve the purpose.

IMO, Microtech does a fairly attractive stonewash finish.

+1 for Ben, his are superb. There may not be an art but there are some expertise and techniques that have to be mastered or the finish is subpar.

I agree with Steven, there isn't any magical art to it. There are some techniques that can make it look better. Whether you are wanting a light or a nice dark finish.
That finish is one of my favorites, because my knives are designed for use, this type of finish wears nicely with use and time.
Plus, I think there are plenty of shiny blades being made out there, I want to offer something different.

There are lots of makers out there offering acid washed finishes, I am just the only one stupid enough to post acid washed knives on this forum full of fantastically hand finished and shiny blades. :D
