Which Strider folder do you prefer? The list is as follows: SNG, AR, or the GB. Is the spearpoint better than the tanto and do they come with dual thumbstuds? Thanks for reading my forum.

IF WAR IS HELL, TAKE A BETTER PITCHFORK THAN THE DEVIL

I like the Spearpoints for everyday utility. They offer a better everyday blade profile for a civilian like myself. I have carried tanto's before but, found I didn't like the way they cut normal everyday items.

I know a lot of folks like the SNG's. I'm not one of them. If I need a stout knife, I want a Strider AR. If I need less then that, I have many excellant choices including offerings from CRK, Benchmade and, Spyderco at lower pricepoints that offer all the strength I need.

I have considered the Farid and TOPS folders as well but, find the Strider AR pattern to offer the best for my needs. The Buck/Strider variant ain't bad either ;)

Out of your list, definitely the AR..I prefer the heft of the AR over the SnG...if we were allowed to choose any Strider folder, I might say the Nightmare XXL framelock :)

At the time I only have a Buck Strider, but if it's tanto tip is the same as Striders' I would definantly go with the drop point. NIB the tip was what I would call blunt. The angle is not "sharp" at all and barely cuts anything. Now for digging and punching through walls I would not hesitate, would be very difficult to break off the tip.

I only have handled the SnG, but I was very impressed and can't see the AR or GB being any better. That Nightmare Grind is awesome!

Well, I have a Strider Tactical GB, which has the tanto blade shape.

I definitely do NOT regret my choice of GB (tanto) over AR (spearpoint) but after using it a few times, I can see how people say that a spearpoint is a bit better for everyday-type stuff.

Well, just as far as opening mail at least...it opens packages with no problem...

I got the tanto because I like the heavier tip; less likely to break if I ever have to use it for prying or otherwise abuse it.
