Best strop/compound combination for keeping that sharp convex edge?

I was thinking about going with Bark River's, DLT's or the stropman strop. I have watched virtuovice suggest his Bark River or DLT's. Jdavis or CrimsonTide suggest the stropman. I see that he likes that one he has from the wicked edge. So confusing! I'm sure they are all great. And I bet there are some more companies or brands. I have seen most guys use the black alond with the green compound. Or the green compound with the white compound. Thanks for the help!
