Best Time To Quench?

Does anybody out there have an opinion as to when the best time to quench your blade for hardening? I'm told by a reliable source that if you wait until you see 4 crows lined up on the nearest telephone line, under a full moon, with a lightening storm rolling in, and, and just when a bolt of lightening strikes out, plunge your blade into your quench medium, you will produce a blade so BAD that you would have to store it under lock and key.
(He did have a twinkle in his eye when he related this to me.)
Any comments?

That sounds correct,Now to temper that same blade make sure that you pull it out of the oilas the first bird that landed flies north and the last one flies south and hold it up in the air so the second bolt of lightening strikes it..Now you have the ultimate in a blade.;)

I've tried it on the second Shrove tuesday of the following month, during the winter equinox when that second crow in a line blinks twice! now that gets it HARD!--Dan

I always had good luck getting it hard, rubbing it with oil, but I'm getting old and confused :D , as for the crows lining up, thats the time to grab the shotgun and have some fun.:)

When the moon is in the seventh house, and jupiter aligns with Mars, them ...Opps wrong Mojo. Actually I always wait until the wooden idol on the tree outside my forge nods his head.
