Best Tiny Knife?

I would prefer at most a 2" blade and something that could fit on my keychain. My budget is about $30. I know I'll get some great responses like always.

A Gerber STL 2.0
or a Spyderco Ladybug
or a Byrd G10 Cara Cara.

The gerber is at the top of my list, but it has an open back and might not do well on keychains. The Spyderco and the Byrd would be about the same as far as such a knife is concerned. The Spyderco's Japanese VG-10 trumps the Byrd's Chinese imitation AUS8 - which is 8Cr13Mov - but in such a tiny knife you'd be unlikely (or extremely perceptive) to notice.

The Byrd is presently on my keychain, though I own both other knives. The ladybug in H1 steel, which I don't own, might be the best bet for something that rides in your back pocket all day.

The Spyderco ladybugs are top notch keychain knives IMO, the Yellow H1, Orange FRN and SS are the ones I like and use the most.:)

Victorinox Alox Cadet can by good for keychain. It's not so small as Alox Bantam and has a nile file. I think alox scales to be good for keychain knife, not usual red Victorinox's scales.

Hint: if You want a really small alox SAK, try Alox Classic.

Victorinox has several keychain models; the already mentioned Classic, but if you like to have a little bit larger blade, you could also take a look at something like the Ambassador or the alox Excelsior, which is very thin.

Opinel also has keychain models.

Thanks guys! Any experiences with the Blade tech mouse?

It used to be made in Japan with a 440C blade, now it's made in Taiwan with an AUS8 blade. (I think it may even have been discontinued; not sure on that.)
Quality construction, but it's not a knife I'd recommend.

Because it's very wide for its length. IMO its extra width makes it too "big" and bulky for such a "small" knife.

my vote would be for either a spyderco ladybug salt or a vic cadet with ALOX...cant go wrong:thumbup:

A Lot of good suggestions have been made.IMHO Id get one of the small

Spydercos. Very Hard to beat. :D

Get a Kershaw Chive. Take off the clip with torx driver.

Smooth SS with great shape that feels good in the hand for such a small knife.

It has holes drilled for keychain.

Great, wide (comparatively), sharp blade and it's incredibly thin (overall thickness) compared to most anything else you'll try.

IMHO its the perfect business/office pocket knife. It also fits perfect in your jean's watch pocket (of course when you're in jeans you can carry a larger blade).
