Hey all,

Been a lurker for a long time and thought i had to share how i used my EDC this morning. Got into work this morning and after going to the bathroom was looking in the mirror while i washed my hands. I quickly relied that i had missed a a patch of hair right under my nose shaving this morning and that i looked pretty silly. Luckily, i carry a kershaw leek to eat my apples at work and i had just hit up my sharpmaker last week. A few swipes later and i didn't look like such an idiot any more.

Just wanted to share.

Welcome to the forums. It's always fun hearing how people use their knives! You certainly picked a good knife to shave with, it has a good shape.

Haha nice, I'm always put off when people think it's strange to carry a blade. They come in handy so often.

Welcome to the forum. I've used knives to shave arm hair, but use a straight razor for face shaving. It takes some cojones to take a blade to the face, especially a folding knife.

It doesn't take nerves of steel, just confidence that you can use your folder without gouging your face. I am so comfortable with my knives, since I fondle them so often, that they feel like an extention of my hand.
I'm sure most of us sit on the couch or car and open and close our folders and run our fingers up and down razor sharp steel without getting cut, it's because we have lots of practice and are very familiar with our knives.

The one I remember was cutting off my beard on a beach with a SAK...first the scissors, then the blade. Ouch. Got 'er done though.

I've done it a few times. Just splash on some refreshing isopropyl afterward, no problem.

When were out and my girlfriend notices she missed a spot shaving her legs she'll flick out my knife and give her self a touch up. Lol I know she's awesome, sitting in the car shaving her legs with a ZT 801 :D

THANK YOU. People think it's so weird to carry a blade when they are so useful, and furthermore; you summed up my life pretty much right there.
