I am in the need for a v belt pulley (the one I need to replace is aluminum and is way out of round and causes heavy vibration for my 1x42 Belt sander. Of course the other end of the belt is the electric motor, (I heard it call a sheave, but I am ignorant here). It has a set screw that is tightened with an allen wrench, and inside bore is 15 mm as per my digital measuring caliper. Anyways, I am going to contact Grizzly for this, but I also have another electric motor, and would love to start tinkering with it, as if I really need another hobby. Anyways, I need help from the gear nuts out there. Where do you get v belt pulleys from?

Thanks in advance.

You might look for a local electrical supply house for the pulleys. I would bring the one you want to replace with you. You might also see if there is a WW Grainger location near you, they probably have pulleys also.

Thank you both guys. I do have a Grainger near me. I bought this Dayton 1x42 sander from Craig's list, and got a decent deal, with repairs to do of course. It is fun to hunt down restoration parts. You guys are terrific, thanks again.
