Title pretty much says it all. I wanted do this to a few of my knives to make them that much more concealed.
Many thanks, have a good one. -Blu

The easiest way I have found is to cover the clip with something black. To explain that a little further, I use a product from 3M called Stair Step tape. This comes in black and the surface has a gritty finish, like sandpaper, but softer. The adhesive is really good, it is a 3M product after all, and if you clean the surface good it will stick and stay where you put it. Most of my edc lineup has their clips covered with this product.

If its steel you can acid wash it but it won't work for Ti. For Ti you could flame ano it a blue color to blend with jeans.

The clip on my Kershaw Tension came in shiny stainless. After I dropped it in an acid wash with the blade I went over it with a black Sharpie felt pen.
Seriously. It soaked in like gunblue and hasn't rubbed off hardley at all, staying a perfect, matte black.

If it's stainless you can heat it over the stove flame to darken it. As mentioned before, ferric chloride acid will also darken it.

If it's titanium you can give it an Oxy Clean bath.

Any of these will darken the clip. None will get a black clip.

I've powder coated and black oxided mine in the past, both with excellent results.

Be careful with etching it. I recently (last night) etched a Griptillian clip, and after letting it sit for over 16 hours, it turned out light, matte grey color. I like it, but if you want a dark color, you might need to let it sit for a LONG time in the acid.

Black shrink tube, the stuff for electrical connections there's a tutorial somewhere here on it, used it on few knives lasts a lot longer than you think it would .

I truly appreciate all of the responses and feedback, it means a lot. Thanks for the advice gentlemen.
