Best way to make a stone pouch in front of sheath

I'm in the process of making a sheath for my camp knife, condor bushlore and am wanting to make a front pouch for a small sharpening stone I have. I think I have a good idea of how to approach this, but want some advice if any

I am going to be doing a kydex leather hybrid sheath and am thinking of doing a 2 piece pouch, one for the body of the stone and a piece for the flap.

Is there a better way I'm missing? Or is this a good route to go down?

Any advice is welcome

Vince.

I'd strongly recommend doing one piece pouch. I've done 2 piece for stone and fire steel and wasn't happy about it, especially the flap, it was getting in the way when pulling stone out.
With one piece it is a lot easier to take out the items.

Thanks for the picture. I ended up going with a one piece tri fold piece of leather. I will be putting on the front of my sheath. I'll put pictures up tonight when I get home.

Thanks again!
