So I'm new to knife making, I've made 42 knives total in the last 9 months.
The mony and hours spent on this hobbie, are getting out of hand, I have sold a few to pay for supplies and equipment, but I think I may have reached a point that I should activly try to market these, any advise would be greatly appreciated.

If you are looking to make money...making working grade knives with lots of handwork is not a good way.
Make an honest knife and your market will find you. Finding that market is difficult.

They say these new fangled websites are a good idea. i do not have one up yet, i go by word of mouth.

Get some informed input regarding the quality of your work, then establish price points.
Sounds like you have reached the point where you are ready to market your product.
All the best, and all the while continuing to improve.

A good start is post pics on here. You'll get feedback and likely have
quite a few sets of eyeballs on your product.

A very good way to start is to get a knife makers membership here. Then take good pictures of your work and post them. Be open to critique. Take the advice and use it to help yourself. Don't get defensive. Don't be offended. The vast majority of the comments you get are aimed at helping you, not attacking you. Ask for critique and you should get it. You will see this request from even well established and respected makers. There is at least one currently here on the front page of this forum. Good luck and I hope to see you show some of your work here.

I appreciate that, and hope I haven't steped on too many toes.
The advice recived so far has been great, I'm going to upgrade my membership level soon, what a wonderful resource this can be.
I appologize for my lack of understanding of forum use, and thank's for the helpful information.

You can purchase membership here and in other forms as a maker so you can actively market your products. Social media (instagram especially) is a good way to get your name out there. Start going to knife shows too.

You are doing everything right, most folks here are happy to help you if you need it.
Congrats on your upgrade and looking forward to seeing your work.

Doug :)

Great! Congrats on your new status! I didn't mean to be a wet blanket on this thread. I just didn't want to see it get locked for breaking the rules. let's see some of your stuff.
