I'm never going to make it to a knife show, on all the websites they are sold out before they even show up ...I can't get on USN..what's the best way to try to buy a used/new Emerson custom? I'm willing to pay market value or even above. Would you suggest WTB in the exchange? Would that work..?

Why can't you get on USN? That would be my best recommendation. There is also a virtual auction/show coming up through Emerson.

They come up for sale now and then right here, just check often. I got a great cqc10 just a few weeks ago.

Put a post in the WTB section. Also check out the sales exchange daily.
The USN requires a recommendation so until you meet a member, that's willing to recommend you, it's a no go.
You might go to the Emerson site and check out all their links. You can also drop them a line, describing what your looking for, who knows you may get lucky.
There is always eBAY. Create a favorite search and again check it often.
There are a couple of guys who customize Emerson knives. Might try a Google search and see if they have anything for sale.
Good Luck

Unless membership rules have changed since March, the USN does not require anything like a referral to join... There is a 30 day trial member period before you can buy a cove membership, but that is all.

You say you re willing to spend some dough why dont you get a better blade than an Emerson. Sorry not a fan at all!

Have had a handful of different customs..many great. But for some reason the only one I really miss is my custom CQC-7
