I just stripped a screw on a Boker Plus knife(What a surprise LOL) and would like to know if anyone has a way to get them out short of sending it back to Boker ?
Any help would be appreciated.

Pictures always help in such situations as well, there are a number of techniques to remove screws that don't want to move. Cutting a slot to use a different tool to get it out, drill it out and cut a new thread, use a hammer to smash in a different tool (for example using a torx to get an allen screw out) there are more and less delicate ways.

I had a screw head strip on a Hinderer a month or so ago. I inherited a bunch of tools from my dad, including a set of screw extractor bits. Worked like a charm.

If all else fails I drill it out with a reverse drill bit. A lot of times the screw will spin out while drilling but if not you have the screw drilled out for the screw extractor. Also, before I try to break any screw loose I heat it to break the Loctite bond by touching the screw head with a soldering iron.

why two threads on this subject 20 minutes or so apart posted? done on purpose for some reason or some weird software glitch?

Phillips recess. on the pocket clip
If the head is protruding, I would grind a slot with a Dremel tool using a ceramic disc. I would heat the screw with a soldering iron in case there is some LocTite present. Then I would turn the screw out with a closely fitted slotted bit.
Also be aware that Phillips screws come in 8 sizes ranging from #4 to 0000. Cross slotted screws also come in different geometries like Posi-Drive, Frearson, and Tee+Cross. So be sure to use the correct bit to prevent cam-out.

Are you talking about the Exskelibur?

Just leave it man, there is no need to moge the pocket clip anyway. As long as it is secured to tip up position I don’t see why you would have to move it. Also since the screw is countersunk most these methods won’t work anyway.

You don’t have to remove the clipnto disassemble.

I posted this before I spoke to you. After our agreement I decided that I don't need it. Got to clean some out first. I will be listing some good ones here this week.
