Best Way To Sample Fallkniven's COS?

I already own and use a standard VG10 Fallkniven F1. I like that it is lightweight, compact and relatively carefree to use. Lately however, Fallkniven's COS has me pretty curious. I'm thinking of getting either a regular F1 COS or the F1 Pro which comes in COS. I think the Pro is beautiful to the eye as well as in execution, while still retaining all of the qualities I like about my standard F1. Getting the regular F1 in COS might seem to be a no brainer except that it is so much like the one I already have, it almost wouldn't feel as if I got something new/different. I'd appreciate some input, especially from folks who have tried or owned both. Any difference in price isn't a deciding factor for me. It's more about a significant advantage of one over the other.

Also; I've been toying with the idea of adding an S1 to my small grouping of knives. My F1, a mini hatchet and a few smaller knives I have cover most of my uses, so I don't have any regular need for the S1 other than food prep at home, and because I like it. Besides just kitchen work and simply admiring it, my main reason for owning an S1 would be as an option to keep on-hand should it ever be necessary to do a lightweight, one-tool bug out. I guess some of the same considerations apply here as they do to the F1.

Many thanks!

I'd be interested in a comparison of Fallkniven's VG-10 with its COS steel. I would have no hesitation choosing my F1 in VG-10 as a sole survival knife.

Maybe the Taiga Forester 2?

Has the COS steel and also comes with the new improved locking sheath:

I haven't used their COS - the price point on them really is in the upper range for a production knife... that kind of $ is approaching custom territory

I can always count on someone here to point out something I missed altogether. I'll have to check this one out.

I have an S1 and that is about the last thing that comes to mind for me. I suppose it'll cut meat fairly well, but the blade thickness and geometry are not well-suited for general food prep.

If I was to get another FK fixed blade, that would be the one I think.

I have an A1 and had a F1x that I moved along(not a fan of FKs take on fulltang and the slabs).

These new blades looks interesting.. The prices are also not all that crazy, aprox half the pice of the pro line.

Here are some more new blades that come with the new sheath, the Scout is Elmax BTW:
