I got me an ESEE-4, semi serrated to help rip through the ribcages when field dressing wild hogs and deer, something that dulls my plain blades.
What sharpening technique is used for this blade? Randall's forum says to use a Spyderco Sharpmaker at a 20 degree angle. Do you drag the serrated area through on both sides as if it were a plain edge?
BTW, I'm loving this knife. I see what all the hubbubs about now.

I'm in the minority in that I'm a huge fan of combo edges for some knives that I use in my yard. I've tried everything and there is no substitute for individual hand filing of the serrations.

I use a very inexpensive diamond rod and it works great for putting a nice medium grit edge on the serrations.

You sharpen ESEE serrations like a plain edge, to get in the teeth use the side of the Sharpmaker rod or use a sharpening rod like above^
