Best way to show you're a forum member while at the blade shows!!

The topic has been discussed before but I think I have the best answer. I am going to get a BFC T shirt and put my forum name on it in big letters. I will probably use those iron on letters. I think this would be the best method to recognize each other. You will notice the shirt immediately and then you can see the member's name. I will be wearing my shirt to the show in march in NYC. Any comments welcomed.

With more size options then XL. I would have bought more then one, even in the colors you had, if larger sizes were available.

Personally, I'll just wander around in a nightgown, holding a Micra in a menacing manner.

Once I had the attention of everyone at the show, I would loudly promote Blade Forum.

Mike, Spark...
Don't worry guys, I won't charge for this service.

Always willing to help, I remain,

PS - The shirts might be a good idea too!

MartialWay:

great minds think alike, i've been meaning to use that same tactic (ooo, i said THAT WORD!!) at the next show...gonna put my forum name on the front, over the "pocket" logo, i think.

but come to think of it: y'all will know who i am with or without my name on the shirt--not too many native american (uh, sorry, "people who were here before the vikings landed") women wearing BF tees wandering around knifeshows in SoCal!

Spark:

on another thread, someone asked about having the BF logo available so we can make our own shirts. emailing the image as an attachment is a Bad Idea of course--but what about a button somewhere on the forum site that we could click to download the image file? maybe a couple different sizes--big for the folks who want a full coverage effect, small for over the pocket...

you could have the download buttons in the store area--how about on the donations page (evil laugh)?!

oh NO!

i just had a TRULY TERRIFYING THOUGHT.

if Vampie is moving west, and has family in San Diego, and wants to wander knife shows in his/her/their nightie brandishing her/his/their micra....

and i live in san diego, and i go to knife shows...

i'll probably MEET Le Vampie at one of said shows...!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh. and if i wear a BF teeshirt, i can run, but i can't hide...i'll be an easy target in that room full o' big guys

<chuckle>

hoo-girl, this is going to be FUN.

Vampie, dear, i don't think YOU need to wear a nametag either...

Why not just walk into the room and give a rebel yell....o.k. o.k. I've got it a secret hand shake - yeah that'll work for sure...............................................................................................................................(hang in there I'm thinking)...........................................................................o.k. here we go - how about a Bladeforums baseball cap. yeah, yeahyeahyeahyeah yeah.

"Le Vampie"
LOL

Luckily, my sense of direction works in your favor.
I'd aim for San Diego and wind up in France!

If, by some odd twist of the compass, I wind up at the same show as you, have no fear.

Turns out that I'm completely inept at the art of Micra-Wak-Do.
I was disarmed by a 4 year old this afternoon. The little sneak offered to trade me a slightly used Tootsie Roll for "that shiny thing". Before I knew it, I was barehanded and had brown drool running down my chest.

Wondering who the King of the Viks was,
I remain,
