I just got a $125.00 gift card to amazon and its knife money now. What is the best way to spend it, either knife or sharpener or both.

If it helps I have a kershaw oso-sweet, tanto griptillian, and a sebenza right now.

A Leatherman CS4 is a pretty good EDC item, I think that runs around $60. Pick up some stropping compound and a Norton India Stone and you should be set.

Save it, accumulate some money and make a quality purchase.

or get a 10000 grit stone.

What's your current sharpening setup? Do you have a use for any knife other than a mid-sized folder?

Go for a knife and a fire rod. Best bet, for a little more, get a blindhorse knife and a attached loop for a matching rod. Leave the style up to you.

I cannot tell you that an edge pro will change your life (or any other sharpener ) I can tell you it changed my knife habits, the steels I appreciate and that D2 and ZDP-189 melt under the stones just the same as 440c.

Knives are nice, consistently sharp knives with great bevels, and sharp scissors are better IMHO than a new knife.

A Böker Epicenter wouldn't be a bad choice. I believe they're $110 on amazon. I love mine.

I've really been digging the looks of the Boker Albatros. And I think Amazon has 1/2 price on its Leatherman tools.

Hmmmmm......
Well, seeing how I just got a Leatherman Juice S2, I have to recommend that.
You'll have alot left over too.
Save it. Then buy something more expensive.

Buy yourself a nice, high quality pen (tactical or not). Nothing beats a nice, high quality pen. Or a really nice wallet.

Ultra fine rods for the Sharpmaker and a DMT Aligner kit.
