I know this has been asked before but maybe with some of
the new pigletts around here have some new ideas on how
to store the Infi. I realized when I had to evac recently
that of the five Busses that I own I didn't have any real
means of protecting them from getting scratched. Does
anyone have any good ideas like some type of tupperware
boxes or something?

A predictable answer (at least from me) is...Keep 'em in a sheath.

I won't even specify a material (KYDEX!), because I know all of my brother sheath makers gotta eat! (OKUDEN KYDEX)

Yeah Kydex is awesome material but I was hoping someone had an
idea for protecting the whole knife not just the blade.

keep them in a velvet wrap, in a rabbit fur lined drawer, in a fireproof/waterproof/preferably-climate-controlled gun cabinet....

they're worth the pampering.. :D

If I need to transport some I have some old t-shirts I wrap them in and I got a canvad duffle bag. Seems to work nicely on the ones I haven't gotten around to making sheaths for.

For protecting your knives while transporting/storing them, you could wrap them in 3/16" bubble wrap and tape them securely. Any office supply store or Wal-Mart should have the bubble wrap and packing tape.

My first suggestion is still Bill's custom cases...fricking awesome stuff. Just incase you want to know an Off Duty fits perfect in a 4x9 black cordura zipper case :)

After that I think a combination of both the t-shirt and bubble wrap suggestions would be good. Use the t-shirt for an inner wrap, then surround it with bubble wrap and seal it all with tape. That should provide excellent temp transportation protection.

I like keeping the knives in their sheaths and then cover the whole thing in..........
a sock. Of course in a clean unused sock, what were you thinking. It's a "tailored" fit that protects both sheath and handle. Just slide it in, take the excess on top, twist it once or twice and fold it over the handle again. Might not look high-class, but the only thing that counts is the content (better be Busse)!

Eh. Just start using them. Then scratches just add character!

I do. Dare I suggest....that's what they're for.
If your not abusing your blades on a regular basis please email me so I get get you an address to send them to. I'll show them someone loves them. :D

Send the pics to me Strabs, I will put them up for you.

As to INFI storage. ALL INFI is better off stored in MY safe, so I consider it my duty to offer space in my safe to all of you guys. :D

I would say, & I am sure Jerry would agree it is best to store them in a hot dry enviroment like.......Tucson so feel free to send them to me & I will store them for you. Any of my other INFI Bretheren feel free to contact me about my free storage program. I hear Idaho's weather is extreamly bad for INFI, hint hint...so act now or only collect A2 Busse's

No Regrets!!!!:D
