Best way to strip a Waki?

Buy her presents? Get her drunk?

OK, so I've decided that I would like to strip the coating off of my Waki and then blue the blade to match my NMFBM. However, I have never done this before. I've taken a very small amount of the coating off with a belt grinder and was considering using an angle grinder with a wire brush, but I'm worried about marring the blade or actually taking off steel in the process.

Has anyone out there stripped a Swamp Rat Waki before? Any recommendations as to the most effective way to do so while also not risking the integrity of the blade or edge, or getting it hot and possibly botching the differential hear treat?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

W

PS-- Also, any recommendations on best blueing products?

Get a can of spray paint stripper from the hardware store, it won't muck up anything. Make sure you read the instructions.

I decided stripping was too messy a task and just got a Satin Waki when the getting was possible.
