So a few weeks ago I learned that my wife pre-ordered a ZT 0777 for me which immediately bumped her in the ranks of wives I'll keep but today, while visiting the semi-local knife store (it's over an hour's drive away), she secretly snuck an ESEE Junglas into my purchase in addition to the Spyderco Delica she talked me into getting. Now I have to keep her forever. :) I told her I would post about her as that would be the highest honour I could think of amongst us crazy knife people.
Anyone else got a story to share of their better half enabling their knife disease?

Well the obvious question is "Does she have a sister?" :D
But seriously, congratulations on being the luckiest guy around!!!

Wow...my wife understands my appreciation for knives but she would never do anything like that. In her defense she knows I am rather particular about virtually everything I purchase but still kudos to your wife for making the effort!

My wife and I comissioned our wedding cake knife as a custom together. She then bought me a custom at a knife show without me knowing as I gauked over it but didnt want to spend the money on it. Your wife is super awesome and not all women are like that. Be thankful that you have one that understands you.

My wedding gift from my wife the night before we were married. She's bought others for me, but this one is the most special and beloved knife that I own. Congrats on having a woman in your life that will enable your sickness. It is definitely a sickness. :D

It's nice to see that others have an enabler as well. :) As for those seeking her sister, let me only say that she does have one, but she's NOTHING like her. But I'm sure that for a fee I can ship her sister to you in a wooden crate. I don't think my wife will mind so much.

Yep, you are lucky to find one that thinks about something other than themselves..... A rare find indeed. ;)

Keep that one for sure.

For x-mas my girlfriend got me a Sog Twitch II and a CRKT Minimalist. I was very excited over both of them, but the Sog had blade play that I couldn't get rid of, so I exchanged it for a Lansky Diamond kit. Maybe some day I'll get another Twitch II and I'll have better luck with it.

My wife bought me my PM2 this past Christmas and my beloved SS Kiwi lockback years ago. She also talked me into preordering my orange PM2 and Dodo when I had decided not to. I love her like crazy no matter what, but her supporting and taking an interest in my hobbies certainly doesn't hurt!

two thumbs up for your awesome wife :thumbup:

p.s. you better refer to her as your better half ;)

Thats a damn good woman right there. Im in the same boat. My woman knows how to please me. Over the last 5 years Ive been lucky enough to get a MOPA Kiwi, G10 Endura, G10 Persian, S90V Military, Case Muskratt, Gransors Hatchet, Busse Skinny Ash, Busse Culti, and my beloved, Busse HOGFSH from her. Cant wait until she gets her medical license :p

Just checked with "my better half" and she's more than okay with shipping her sister out in a wooden crate. In fact, she's currently getting shipping rates. ;)
