Beta C mags, anyone try em? I want one for my AUG and don't know if it will be worth the $256. Get em while there legal..

a bud has one for an AR15 and IIRC it had feeding problems, i dont remember what brand it was but it looked like the one in the pic...............held a lot of ammo i do remember that lol.
 
A bud of mine had big 90 round mag for his 16 in the guard. It had to have a mod to allow blanks. It was a trip to light off 90 rounds in a burts. Of course the gas tube got bright red. But it wasn't one of these it was one big drum made the 16 look "thompsonish"

They are a bit noisey(rattle) but they work real well. I'm considering buying one for my Galil and the wife's CAR-15 to share now that they are $239 and not $700. Rubin Mendiola Jr has a good rep and is an authorized dealer.
 
German Special Forces have the option of equipping their HK G36s with 100 round mags (that look very similar to the one pictured above) and I highly doubt that any SF unit in the western world would use unreliable accessories for their weapons.

dont know about the german army but we used what they issued, some good stuff, some not so good, but i wasnt SF, maybe they get all the good stuff lol.

i would think any mag made by HK would be reliable, i know for a fact not all the big capacity mags for AR15's work well/at all. might be fun to shoot lotsa ammo/look cool, but unless i had a good reliable large cap i would stick with 20 or 30 rounders for serious stuff myself in an AR at least.
 
Why don't you just look for the 42 round AUG mags? They are reliable and two of them nearly equals the unreliable Beta C mag.

For ARs, the most recent scoop is a milspec 30 round with a follower from Magpul.
 
Got three 30's and plan on getting more. I just want one for the fun factor. :D Don't think I'd use it alot though.

I think the 42's look a little to long on the aug. Probably get a few of those too.. :D
