4140 steel, hickory handles. Big 'uns weigh about 20 oz., little 'uns about 16-17 oz.

Handaxeproman - Durn tootin' they do! They were made to deal with the many hardwoods we have in Texas. (I'm not sure that we have a native softwood tree; perhaps cottonwood?) They cut well but are tough. Pretty much anything six inches around or smaller shouldn't be a problem. I need to shoot some video at some point showing me chopping some wood with one. They'll make the chips fly!

I had these on a table at a gun show last month. A fellow came by who does log cabin restorations upon occasion and fell in love with the last one I posted. He said it was just perfect for the work he did. Couldn't afford to buy it, though. :(
