  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

I'm the facility and landscape manager for a small rural estate in Texas and I need ready access to many different tools every day. I need my phone and a pair of glasses (unfortunately) but those are covered. I'm ok with my Leatherman sheath and mini-flashlight. What's driving me crazy is that most good knives seem to be intended for a deep-carry tip-up pocket clip. That's very awkward for me. What I really want is a case with a lid (magnetic or Velcro closure) that opens to expose enough of the tip-down handle to grasp the knife and pull it out quickly. What good does it do to have a knife that you can open and close with one hand if you can't get it out or put it up with one hand? A case like that would allow me to carry any of my knives, regardless of the type of opening or lock. Any ideas?

Maxpedition makes some very handy sheaths/pouches. I use their single pouch for a couple of larger folders without clips (I carry tip up folders generally). They are Velcro closure and set up to be carried in a variety of positions.
