Better general purpose knife: CQC-15 or Roadhouse?

So I'm torn between the Mini CQC-15 and the Mini Roadhouse and can only choose one since I went ahead and ordered a Combat Karambit to go with the Mini A-100 that I received yesterday. The Mini A-100 will be my EDC knife and I can only have one of the 2 knives mentioned. For an all-around general purpose knife, which would you choose?

Mini CQC-15... Is a better general purpose knife- IMHO.

I have 2 and it is my favorite EDC..

For me it would be the 15, i'm assuming you like the tanto blade since the 15 and Roadhouse both have them... you'll have to decide if you want the recurve of the 15 or the straighter edge of the Roadhouse.

Don't forget the 7... tanto also :D

I have a Roadhouse and my son has a Super Roadhouse and a 15. I like the way the Roadhouse feels in my hand better. He's carried his 15 a long time and always says it's his favorite but I see him carrying his Super Roadhouse a lot recently. Both are great knives, sorry I couldn't help more since I've never handled the mini's.

I don't think tantos in general are as practical as spear point or drop point tips. So, the 15 may be a better all around EDC. However, the Roadhouse is very special...it has a slight sweeping belly and one of the most ergonomic handles ever. It's my favorite. Lots of people like the versatility of the 15. If I was picking an Emerson for purely EDC, I think the new Journeyman is a great way to go or even the 10.

I can't comment as to the Mini versions, as I have the regular models. I would be really hard pressed to choose between the two, but I think that the Roadhouse has a slight edge due to the slightly rounded belly, which slices very well. Of course, I can just default to the standard BF solution - get both. :)

I have both, and i feel the roadhouse has a more stout feel to it, probably just me, but you cant go wrong with either.

I'd go for the 15. How do you like the Karambit? I've been an Emerson fan for years
Something in me hesitates to spend 200+ on such a small blade though.

I have both and think the roadhouse is a better cutter out of the box. The tanto edge on the 15 is insanely thick and obtuse, which is good for its design. Once you get the hang of the recurve and learn to hook and pull, it cuts great. Both would be a great choice.

The Karambit was cool but I did end up selling it as it didn't really have a real use for me. The blade was short enough for legal carry here in Michigan, but the handle is fairly long and with the finger hole, it sticks out of the pocket quite a bit. I didn't really see the use in tying up so much of my money in a knife that probably wouldn't see much use.
