Better grip?

As I've played with my jag extensively, my hands have made the safe handle smooth, and shiney as chrome... Whenever i twirl too fast, it flys out of my fingers, it's hard to control... So I was wondering, what's the best way to give the knife better grip without really scarring it up? Thanks-

At the NRA convention this year, BM had a prototype BM42 with the new powder coated handles. Really made it feel and look better, IMO. So, if you have the money (which I don't) get one of those!

The friendly man at the booth said it might cost an extra $10 for powder-coated handles.

hey that sounds good. $10 thats not to bad i guess. I also heard theres this stuff you can get in tool shops or so. It's like liquid rubber that they usually put on plyrer handles. That may add to much grip come to think of it. Your welcome to try.

Man I'll tell you what, if the powder coating on the Benchmade is anything like that on the Advanced Tech then I gotta have one!

I'm lovin' the feel of this stuff on the handles.

dunno about the liquid rubber... might grip a littel too well to swing so well... my guess would be to try a relatively rough grip sandpaper to roughen it back up with... or a really rough grit, followed by a flat black spray paint job. if you're careful, and do only very short spurts with the can at a time, followed by a few minutes of waiting for the last sputter to dry, you can make a decent textured "matte" finish... but it does take time and patience. it'll grip better than polished metal, but not as much as rubber, and give you somethind to hold onto. The powdercoat 42 sounds like a dream... now, hopefully, they'll put that black oxide finish on the blade, too, and make it a solid black beauty. (that's my vote, anyway)
