Better knife the GW or the BAD?.

Have both, love both. Prefer grip on GW prefer extra blade length on BAD. Overall, if I could only keep one of them I would keep my BAD.

Mostly all depends on your preference. I like the blade and handle a bit better on the AD. I carry a GW in my pocket every day. It is a bit shorter over all, and the blade length means it is not automatically classified as a deadly weapon in my jurisdiction. I have not tried to pocket carry the AD (have never handled one in fact). If I was open carrying the AD just seems cooler. I do carry my SS on the belt, but it is significantly longer, too long for pocket carry, and more noticeable on the belt.

I wish that Busse would make a regular offering of the AD handle with a GW length blade (I know there are customs out there).

The Bad is going to be a great slicer, and at the higher hardness will likely keep sharp for longer. but I would not do any prying or heavy use with it (unless I had to) with it at all. Where as my .22 GW has plenty of beef for that.

Whats the better of the two in your opinion for EDC?.

Thats to tuff, there very differant knives.

GW is a great little skinner with plenty of belly, and the AD's have a much better point for push cuts and fine work.

I like the larger AD handle better than any EDC size handle, so I'll say the BAD. But it does have the thinest tip of any Busse, which I like. But it's not going to pry like a .270 GW by any means. The tip is also much thinner than the .140 GW's

So...You just need both! Or more, as you will NEED a thick and thin version of both:D

I type slow, just saw your post.

I would love an AD handle with a GW blade at .140! There wouldn't be a better Deer skinning knife out there.

I would love to see a GW that is .140, 1" longer blade and has the AD handle:thumbup:

4" GW would be AWESOME!

One other suggestion... and my preference is the Cultie with a 3.5" thin blade like the BAD.

I really think it is the best of the three for normal cutting and EDC due to its lighter weight.

Though I do not own a GW, I recently picked up a BAD. Let me tell you that the BAD has become one of my favorite knives. I normally only EDC folders but after receiving my BAD it has become my new EDC. It makes for one hell of a slicer, I just want to know how much they can take. They are much thinner and a little harder then the common Busse. Any one want to beat the hell out of theirs a report back to me? :D
