I’m posting this in hopes that if GSM hears it enough, they might be inclined to do it.

The Tuff Lite is more than worthy of a higher grade blade steel. Personally, I would be perfectly content with AUS10 but just about any upgrade would be well deserved.

I have been using mine for a few years with no issues. It's AUS 8A. I just checked their website. The new ones are 4034SS—no thanks for a new one.

Thanks for posting. I bought both of my Tuff Lites in July of this year and mine are also AUS 8A. I did not know that the new ones are 4034SS.

I don’t hate AUS 8A. I don’t even really dislike it. The point that I’m trying to make is that the Tuff Lite has “earned” a steel upgrade but that of course, is only my opinion.

Yeah, I guess if they recently changed the blade steel, an upgrade isn’t going to happen anytime soon, if ever.

I wish they would make the Tuff Lite with the handle at least an inch longer. I have XXL hands and can only get a 3 finger grip even using the choil. Just my humble opinion.
I think that a 4"XL as well as a 6" XXL version would fly off the shelves like proverbial hot cakes!

I’d like to see the handle redesigned without a sub hilt and instead the forefinger groove going right up to the ricasso.

It’s good (at) eatin’
