Better user: Carbon Fiber or G10 Military?

Specifically wondering which offers a more secure grip...Spyderco G10 is so grippy, so I'm loathe to try the carbon fiber, especially since this will be a user knife. But everyone seems to like the CF Military. Any thoughts on this?

I handled both then purchased the CF model. I believe I slightly preferred the CF feel but, in the end it could just as easily been that I succumbed to the fad aspect of the CF model. There just wasn't any detectable weight difference to speak of and, about everything else was identical. Slightly different feel, not one better or worse than the other.

If I was doing it again, well I would probably do the same thing. But, if I was to purchase a second Military I would opt for the G10. Without a tip-up clip option, I won't be purchasing another one though.

Thanks, rnhood. Do you find the handle to be secure in either version? I've never handled a Military, and I worry from looking at pics that it would be easy for my hand to slip onto the blade. (I generally don't like using the 50/50 choil on knives.). Not much of a guard.

I own one of each.

My CF is of the BG42 variety.

Don't seem to notice a difference in use. Both feel the same.

I notice a possible difference wet; but if so, it is negligible in use.

I wonder if the resin in the materials is different and will result in a difference in wear.Time will tell.

My CF military has a rougher texture to it which offers more grip than the G-10 version I had. I'll bet its going to eat through my pocket in a couple days
