I could not find this info in the stickies. (I could have missed it) I am interested in knowing what angle to grind (or file) the bevel. I am making a knife from a piece of stock that is roughly 1/8" thick and about a inch wide. I read that you can eyeball it, but I was interested in knowing if there was an angle used.

Sorry spelled angle wrong in the title.

Somebody help me out. You guys usually would have answered three times over by now. I just want a flat grind on a small hunting/camping knife.

I saw a chart once.

If you are using a 1/8 thinck blade, and the grind is a full height grind, you can use the chart for a rough idea.

Let's see if we can find it...

If you want to hollow grind, it's a an entirely different chart or calculation.
I have seen suppliers sell slide rule type charts for that too.
