Beveling D2 pre- heat treat?

I'm going to be attempting my first double edged blades in D2(regular not CPM). I'd like to be able to use files to get clean lines pre-heat treat instead of using the grinder post. Steel thickness is .25" and actual blade length will be around 5". How much warping and problems am I in for post heat treat? I still haven't figured out the plate cooling because of the bevels. Might try dunking the whole packet in Parks50?
Thanks,

Apparently D2 is fairly dimensionally stable during heat treatment, so should be ok to the normal recommended range of edge thickness (~1mm). There will be some distortion due to the change in structure, but it might not be noticable
