Good morning!

I have had a number of folks ask for a BF 24 Stockman slip. I enjoy making these slips and this thread is to gauge interest and whether I should just go ahead and keep the tradition alive. :)

Probably not my smartest move here (if ya know, you know 🤣😂), but hit up this thread with your requests and if you would be interested in joining a pre-order. :)

What color of leather? Thread color? Slip shape? Whatever ideas you have, I want to hear them!

I do have a beautiful soft caramel colored leather that would be absolutely amazing to match the BF 24 Stockman…

I will listen to all ideas and suggestions. If there is enough interest, I will keep the tradition alive! I will make a prototype (or 2) and open a pre-order thread.

Looking forward to your thoughts.

Happy New Year.

A man of the people right here! 🤣

In all seriousness, I didn’t grab one of these so I’m out on suggestions. That said, more S&F work out in the world is never a bad thing!

I love the pocket slips that I've gotten from you Coleman, but I have to say for me ... I would have to pass on a pocket sheath for this big ol BF '24 Stockman ... BUT ... a belt sheath for it ... well now ... 🤔

I felt the same as you, JJ. I had a few requests for a slip through DM, so I figured I would throw it out there.

It is possible to make a belt sheath, but it wouldn’t be for a while. :/
What are your thoughts on a slip with a clip?

I'm interested, caramel color with dark green or red thread. You pick the shape?
I can add ya in with the few others, Doc. Most definitely.

Haha. Thank you Mr. Moustache.

I'm happy to see folks wanting to keep the tradition you started with a quality pocket slip for the BF offering. I'll be anxious to see what you come up with. I always enjoying seeing your new projects!

A slip with a clip might be a viable option, but a slip for this one should stay put and ride fairly high even without a clip. I've gotten in the habit of carrying a modern folder with a clip and a slipjoint 90% of the time so I don't know if I would use any pocket slip often for this one and I think this one will be a real user.

I carried this big BF 91 stockman in my back pocket along side my wallet over the weekend and it worked pretty well. I can see how this 81 could easily be a one knife carry option though so my opinions may change after a bit of time with a big slipjoint like this.

I carry a small Sebenza in a slip with a clip that you made (and it's the perfect carry for me), but it's my "Sunday carry/going out" knife and isn't fighting for pocket space.

You already know that I am very interested in keeping the tradition alive. I’d be down for a nice slip with a clip. Leather choice and tread color to be determined based on options. Thank you for considering this project and am looking forward to seeing what you come up with😉

Hey, Coleman. I did not see the value in the 2024 BF knife, so I did not get it. I have a Case Model 75 large stockman (4 1/4") that I might like a belt sheath for. If you do one for the BF knife, it could work for my Case.

Cheers, Brian

So this is currently where I’m at… these do not have a clip, but they could. :)

I threw this one in there for the fun of it…

I did try a quick belt slip, but not loving it. So that is gonna be put on hold…possibly indefinitely.

What are your thoughts on above slips? :)
They are in squeeze slip style and only sewn 2/3rds of the way up so if need be, you can get a grip on the 91.

Hey brother, I've sent you a message on just such a thing. I think there's a great idea here.

I think I’m gonna go with the Caramel leather (it’s so nice!) and just a regular slip, or one with a pocket clip. :)

You will see an order thread shortly. :)
