Hey, does anyone out there remember when BF first came into existence? Who are the oldest members of the forums? I have not posted that much, but I've been on the forums since 1998 - I think we need some kind of 'veteran member' status here ;)

I believe Oct 98 is the earliest date you'll find on member profiles.
 
Yep. Been here since day (really evening 1). Something happened to my original registration during one of the early SW updates and I had to reregister in Feb 99. IIRC, it was either Bald1 (Bob) or DC that had the first thread way back when. The "bit bucket" that scrubbed my original registration also scrubbed the original threads.

***If it counts for anything, I'm the only member with posts that predate my registration :D.***

In an unrelated bit of trivia, can you guess who the first 3 free knife winners were and what they had in common?
 
Hmm, I think the first three winners had all had names starting with "J" or "W".

Oh yeah, ignore the number under my name.
 
Am close, not fully decided, to shaving off much of my beard, probably retaining a "Van Dyke" type, with fairly short sideburns. I know that is boring and seemingly non-appropos, but just wanted to know if any of you old-timers are in need of a fair number of white whiskers??
