this is a ultralight hiker, in a horizontal carry sheath:

OAL 8 5/8 with a 4 1/4 inch blade with a scandi grind.
Love that Osage camo.

Virtual cigars all around 'cause that first one is my baby! Christof the knife looks great. Love that burnt osage orange and the blade finish is very nice. Can't wait to handle it.

looking good. I really enjoy the rustic tones in EVERYTHING. Really digging that handle material in the top knife.

Thanks, Brian. I got so sick of burning osage on the belt sander I just decided to see what would happen, and it's working out well. My wife keeps calling it orange camo.

I'm DEFINITELY doing a couple pocket nessies in the green. Not sure what else. It's begging for a few wharnies, rigging knives, and maybe bird and trouts.

That first one may be nice in the pic, but it is much better in the hand:jerkit: Wait I mean:thumbup:. Folks don't get too caught up in the beauty of the rustic differential heat pattern, the flame osage, or the spankin' leatherwork 'cause you are going to miss science and precision that make Koyote's work function so well as cutters.

What do you use to stain the leather that really nice reddish-brown color if you don't mind me asking.

Feibings mahongay colored dye, I get it through tracy mickley's shop usaknifemaker. (Because I live in CA and tandy isn't carrying it anymore in this state)

That first one is obviously monkeybutt's - I should start polishing my convex grinds up as shiny as the scandis like his.

The second one was still a bit wet on the handle when the photo was taken. it's a pure user and the owner is pretty happy with it :)

The third one I've done regular sized as well, and it's HARD to market a youth knife, but I know that there are people who take their kids out. It's kind of a tough one to call.
