I received today the Darrel Ralph EDC that I had won in this past Spring's BFC contest.

It was a bit of a wait, but it was well worth every minute of that wait.

The knife is the EDC that is probably familiar to most members here. Just about the same as the CUDA 154CM that so many of us have praised, but in a larger size. Mine has the 3.6" blade and Ti, rainbow-anondized handles, with a frame-lock design. Sorry, no digicam abilities now, but examples of this are available on Darrel's website.

I will do a review of this knife, once I've had an opportunity to handle it for a while.

In the meantime, much thanks to 1SKS and Mike Turber or Spark or whoever was running the show at the time and of course to Darrel Ralph, who, I might add, was a total gentleman in this matter, even giving me a choice of blade size and communicating with me during the process. It doesn't get any better than this. With people like this populating our ranks here, we are in good shape no matter what the future throws at us.

The knife is an impressive beauty that will always have an honored position in my blade collection.

Bottom line? Hang around here and participate. Good things can happen. :) :)

It's one thing to get a free knife, another altogether to get the DDR custom knife design-to-reality process. Enjoy!
