Big-Boards tracks the most active message boards and forums on the web.

BFC currently ranks 258th of 926 big boards in their "most posts made" ranking.

I want you to look at those data. Look at the volume of posts and hits. And look at that trend line.

Those are the sorts of numbers that would make an internet advertising executive's heart skip a beat!

Spark could make a fortune selling advertising on this site. But he doesn't even put up ads for his own business on this site. Instead, he provides this site free of advertising to the knife community as his gift to each and everyone of us.

I just got done cleaning up the cookie mess left on my PC after visiting the top twenty boards on this list.

Of the top twenty, eighteen have ads. The two that don't are in German and may have ads that I'm not recognizing.

Notice that bigboards.com itself has advertising including ads offering to help board owners sell ads on their boards. Advertising is what bigboards.com is about. That's why they track these statistics.

An outlying datum like that is usually some problem with the measurment mechanism.
