Went to Seattle a couple of weeks ago to work on a manufacturing problem for my company. While there, there was an engine waiting to be mated up with our equipment.

It's a Big F'ing Engine. Thought you might like to see it.
The balding coot in front is me.

It's waiting for a pair of wings. The wings weren't done yet.

Feh... THIS is a big engine.

5.6 million lb/ft torque? Sounds good. Fuel economy doesn't. "Even at its most efficient power setting, the big 14 consumes 1,660 gallons of heavy fuel oil per hour."

A real man wouldn't be worried about fuel consumption!

Read a news article that said that the greenhouse gasses emitted by the world's ships exceeded that of the world's aircraft.

thought for a second that was harleys new water cooled motor but it can't be, no oil leaks and it's not overheating.
