I finished this Bowie up last evening, it's headed out to 1 of our BF members.
OAL 13 1/4" with a 8 1/8" blade. Box Elder handle and Nickel/silver hardware. As soon as I get the sheath finished he can take it on a walk about.

Mike,
I can't wait to see the camp knife you are doing for me. I hope Tess has a good sheath in mind. I assume you will post pictures here for all to see.

Don't tell me you're the one getting the knife from Bill.
man i have something to try to live up to

Thanks again everyone,

Ray, dewar worked great. I actually found a supplier of LN that delivers within 3 miles of the house so I didn't have to make a long drive. I was glad of that.
I had a 2" square piece of close celled styrofoam, so I just rounded the corners and cut 4 little slots down the sides for venting, glued that to a stainless steel bowl I got from dollar general for $1 and it worked great. After cyroing 15 blades with 3 that were 8" and 10"er's I still had sbout 8-9" left. I haven't checked it since Saturday so I don't know whats still in it, but I did wrap the dewar with pink insulation and plactic sheeting and placed a hunk of insulation over the lid, so it might help it hold longer. I don't know.

Michael, I'm just trying to keep up with you and everyone else on here. You guys don't make it easy on a old hillbilly. :)

Dave, thats a great page on you in Blade, long over due and well deserved for sure.

Bill

IMHO, this is the best one ever posted by you, Bill.

I love it!

Another beautiful knife, of course that's not surprising for Bill's work. I'm going to have to put myself on your order list soon ol' buddy.
