I just called in and ordered two 110's both with BG-42. Their supply is limited but they have them. So, get 'em while they last. It may be they don't offer them after this hoard is done.

1st: Rams Horn, Finger Grooves, Brass, Rivets
2nd: Heritage Walnut, Nickel Silver, Rivets

This Buck knife Business is fun.

I'll post the glamor shots when they get in. :D:D:D:D

I thought more of you BG-42 fans would be jumping from foot to foot about that news. I was somewhat under the impression most believed it was no longer available. I will admit the next order (may be awhile) will be S30V and Damascus.
 
And dont forget the 20'th anv. BCCI 110 in BG42 if they havent sold out yet.......
 
that knife had G-10 black handles under layered with black micarta and red paper liner next to the nickel. price now is 150$ in the store only 200 made so it is a limited issue not to be repeated .
 
I would have been a bit more nervous if I had not acquired a couple of BG-42 110's just before the whole Buck CS closing and layoff news. I have an order in for a (NS FG w/serrations no rivets on KOA with High Polished 420HC) Maybe here next week. If I hadn't gotten the BG knives then, I would be tryin now. But I have always wanted a High Polished blade... But any news from you guys on the Custom Shop is appreciated!!!
 
I just got an email back from the custom shop - I wanted to order a couple of BG42s since I saw this thread, but apparently they are out now :(

If anyone wants to sell me a nice 110 in BG42 with Koa wood or Stag, let me know :)

You should order one with S30V steel. You will like it a lot.

Talked to Pete today about an idea on a replacement blade on a 2dot and found out they are out of BG-42. I should have asked would any more be available later but I didn't. But, I am expecting an email from him on question about the replacement blade. I'll ask him with a reply. g

You won't be disappointed, Tom. S30V is a fine steel that wears really well. As for being bitten, join the club. ;)
 
Just got off the phone with Pete. BG-42 blades on the 110 is a dead duck. No more blades in inventory and no plans to restock.

So, I decided to have Pete do a change order and replace the walnut with Koa wood inlay. So here is my order that I'm awaiting:

BG-42, Ram Horn, Brass, Finger Grooves
BG-42, Koa, NS, Rivets

I'll show 'em off when I get 'em. Boy, that Buck fever has got a good hold on me right now but I sure am having fun with it. :D:D:D
