BG-42 AND 44O-C

I placed an order for a few custom knives and the maker uses BG-42 and 440-c for his blades, I would like to know more about these two materials. And the preferance of one or the other. Thanks Mike k.
 
this topic has been talked about extensively before....see if you can find an older thread about knife steels and there will be more info than you can believe...both of these steels are excellent as long as they are heat treated properly...
