Bg-42 bs ATS-34

I assume you mean non-destructive tests

Seriously, you might be able to tell from the blade shape - IIRC old ATS-34 sebenzas had a slightly different blade shape (Classic Sebenza) from the current ones. I remember reading somewhere that Sebenza's made in the current blade style are BG-42 except for the very first batch which where ATS-34. My memory is a little hazy so I guess the CRK folks would be the best persons to answer this question.

If I'm not mistaken, I have an older large plain sebenza...not a classic blade, no pocket clip. From what I was told from CRK, besides cutting the blade and melting it down (destructive testing), a good give away is the polish of the blade. My ATS-34 is very shiny compared to my BG 42 blade which is stone washed. Not sure if this is a good way to tell, since sebenzas are always changing. Regardless of blade steel, they both stay silly sharp and keep on cutting.
