Just wondering what some production or custom folding knives made of BG-42 are. I am looking for something preferably American made and are under 300 dollars.

What kind of folder are you looking for?

Tim Britton makes some really nice lockbacks in that price range and he uses BG42.

There is a new steel from Carpenter alloy that is an enhanced metallurgy version of BG42. The B75P.
Zero Tolerance will be coming out with a new collaboration knife that will have a B75P steel.

Spyderco made a Carbon Fiber Military with a BG42 blade.

You might find one on the exchange or ebay for under $300.

Merc Worx made some folders in BG42. One just went in the exchange for a good bit under $300. I don't think they make folders any more though.

Do you have a link to one or somewhere I can search to check them out? And thanks for the help everyone else.

Off the top of my head: www.timbritton.com but if not just google Tim Britton knives and you'll find it.

His small lockbacks are around $300 and he had several slipjoint at that price point

You won't meet a better guy or a better made knife anywhere.

There used to be a LE version of the Buck 110 in BG-42, always wanted to get one of those and convert it into a D/A auto

Alex Shunnarah now makes those under his ARS line (Attack Rescue Survive). I got mine from ebay, one of the smaller sized ones. Only available as a recurve leaf-shaped blade though. But yes, the Mercworx folders were identical.

Something to add to what I am looking for is more "tactical" looking and tip up carry. But thanks again for all the help already.
