BG-42 Military CF (photo)

Last Friday, I received from NGK the new Spyderco BG-42 Military CF. Wow! I already have three in S30V (two CF and one G-10), so I'm quite familiar with the Military, but this one is really a beaute! It's sharper than any of my S30V models and has new, finer jimping on the thumb ramp and a new partial liner on the side opposite the lock. Pricing was also upgraded a bit, but I'm happy.

Gawd, I'm SO tired of telling various Spyderco owners I hate them...but once again I'm left no choice. (Call me Kermit, I'm green!)

Is the action smoother on the BG-42 Military compared to your S30V CF Militaries due to the PB washers?

I think it is, but it's still quite new, so it is somewhat stiff. It does feel very smooth though. The lockup is outstanding and so is the closed detent.

So far, I have to say that this is the best Military yet. :thumbup:
