BG-42 thread

that was educational ...
so
bg42 is a limited by the gov!
wow

I don't believe everything I read here in the forums but when people like Sal from Spyderco (like in the BG thread) or Joe or CJ from Buck speak I listen.

Oh... I also listen to Trax and Goose... at least some of the time... and Dave when my SwissBuck decoder is working :p

If the gov't is restricting the BG-42 market then I look at it as I received my latest BG-42 "ration" yesterday (elk on the bottom).

The top two; Koa and Walnut have never cut anything. The walnut was my first BG-42 and the Koa, well, too pretty. Kine like a trophy wife...take her to the company party but tell her to keep her trap shut.

The third one is the Golden Eye I got from WH4F Jim.

Bottom two are recent throw outs that their users sent to the Goose Home for Wayward Bucks.

The elk is now my 110 user du jour. Replacing HOE3's 110DM until I determine which of the two I prefer.

All are NS.

Goose I just pointed that one out ;)
Awesome supply of knives!! Kinda like the gov't stocking surplus :D
Next question though... Which is better Finger groove or standard?
OR is it just the BG-42 you are after?

I prefer the standard but the Goose Home for Wayward Bucks will accept all 110 BG-42 knives regardless of race, color, creed, or grooves.

'Goose, Thanks for bringing this thread back around. Your pic was what I needed, to motivate and order a new BG110...brass & Koa, no pins, no grooves. Anyone know if Buck can engrave those BG-42 blades???
