Recommendation? BG AK47 combo

A while ago I was looking to buy an AK offered on Busse’s webpage. Unfortunately the exchange plus the recent forsaken dings have made it hard to come up with funds, no regrets though.

BUT NOW IM BACK FOR THE AK
And determined to get one of these beauties. Sold plenty of stuff in the exchange, saved my quarters. But now that I’m ready to buy...
WHICH COLOR?!

Been researching threads on coatings since Friday and well, Since I’m an indecisive sonomabish, which color do you guys think?
My favorites so far have been forsest green and midnight blue.

Some pics of midnight blue look rich in color, others just look like navy blue..
Same with forest green.

Any opinions would be appreciated.

I like the Midnight/Maroon combo on my BG FBM, but on an AK I'd be real tempted to order Midnight on Black G10. I ordered a TGSE in that combo but ended up canceling it in order to get a DS8. my other TGSE is in Bronze/Black Canvas, which also looks great IMO.

My AK is supposed to be Tan and black but it looks a lot like Maroon and black. No regrets though.

That tan looks more Maroon than Maroon I like it

Based on how the new tan looks, Ill probably be getting that. It'll darken with time I assume. Maroon will probably look closer to brown when darkened.

I would say the midnight blue looks a lot like navy blue. Darker. But close. I like it. I have it on two blades, both with black G10: BG AK47, and TGA2. I don't think I have anything with midnight blue and maroon.
Desert bronze looks good with maroon. As does black with maroon. Sorry, don't have any photos, though.
I would not recommend gray with maroon. Have that. Looks kinda bland, IMO.

I really like my Midnight Blue and Black Canvas combo. Or Forest Green and Green Canvas.

Black with Black/Red G10 or Maroon Micarta looks GREAT!

Whatever coating color with Maroon Micarta, etch and strip her!
I wish they had the maroon when I ordered my BG AK's!

Black canvas with.....I'm not 100% sure what the actual name of this green is. It's the one with the glossy fish-eyed texture to it. Moss green I maybe? I probably never would have ordered this color combo myself, but when I got it in a grab bag I instantly fell in love with it. Has a very "zombie apocalypse" look to it.

I got a BG Hell Razor with tan micarta like that, awesome color whatever you call it:

My examples of maroon micarta are all different shades, as are the tan ones. The variation is cool imo.

+1 for the Tan micarta, It was calling me all throughout today.

Pulled the trigger on Forest Green and Tan micarta.

I was just charged the $1 usual so this one might take "two weeks" as well, shops probably still busy with the fmv8 nukes and such.

I understand completely. I was in your shoes half a year ago. I now have a midnight blue AK47 with tan micarta. The tan handle absolutely darkens into a rich practically maroon lacquered leather appearance which I think is absolutely perfect. Once you get ahold of one and find you swing it around for fun every chance you get it takes no time for the handle to get that nice broken in leather look from the oils off your hand. I was unsure as well about the midnight blue because some pictures really misled because I guess the camera flash of some peoples pictures on the interwebs really reflected that blue hue. However once you get it you'll appreciate that it's actually a very subtle deep navy blue that looks almost black 90% of the time and only when you flash the blade in the light like a badass swordsman would do you really see the blue of the blade. Navy blue is actually less visible at night than black. Ninjas wore navy blue at night. And you will feel like a ninja when you get your AK! Good luck
