Well wanted another frame lock folder. Have had a few over the years most notable amongst them were 2 Sebbies. Anyhow this ain't about them. This is about the Black Hawk Silent Partner I ordered that just now took possesion of.

Out of the box the knife appears stellar. I mean extremely well made even for what I paid for it new. It is razor sharp extremely pointy with 2 nice and grippy g10 slabs on the scales. Lock up is perfect with 1/2 engagement of the lock across the frame. Opens very smoothly and has a nice little flipper that acts as sort of a guard I guess although it is pretty useless as such if you ask me. Oh yea no sharp edges on the knife at all save for the edge of the blade.

Now here is the clinker. I am looking the knife over and saying crap for less than 50 bucks a real nice and solid frame lock with a blade that is screamming sharp. So I look down at the tang area and about shit my knickers. It is made in CHINA. I am so pissed. I'll tell ya if I knew it was made in China I wouldn't have bought it. My wife picked me up a BH Crucible folder for Xmas and that is made in Seki Japan which by no means has the same stick in my craw sour taste as this Silent Partner. I am doubly pissed that the knife is made so well and I actually like it. A conundrum for sure. Anyways had to vent and these people will take over the world without firing a shot as I have been told by some other wise person. I belive it I'll tell ya that. keepem sharp

I also bought the Silent Partner a while back. I too thought that the level of quality versus price was okay, but when i saw the "China" stamp on the blade, it went right back into the box and i buried it in my unorganized collection.

China! Oh noes!

I just looked at my computer. . . made in china!!!!! Dammit! I am gonna have to smash it with a rock. Where did you buy your non chinese computers?

I have a sneaking suspicion that more chinese made goods are lurking nearby. . .

Interesting one sites says it's made in Viet Nam.

I bet it's not actually 440c either.

Your computer, clothing, eyeglasses, baby bottles and television are likely made in China. Don't blame the Chinese... we know they are a totalitarian dictatorship with slave labor who crush dissent. Question: who 'opened' them up for manufacturing in order to increase the $$$ bottom line? Answer: we did.
A moral quandary, to be sure.
