I currently use a Mora Bushcraft Black for camping and I love it. But I have a never ending need for more knives. So, it's time for my next fixed blade purchase (for camping), and I've narrowed it down to the BHK Bushcrafter or the TOPS BOB Fieldcrafter. I hardly ever baton with my Mora so it's mainly used for food prep, trap triggers, and other small woodwork. I was hoping someone who owns either (or preferably both) of these knives could throw a preference my way. All opinions are welcome and as always, pictures are too.

The BHK Bushcrafter will be a little bit more expensive and a lot more nicer :D

BHK knives are hand made, the attention to detail and general quality are great. Normally I dislike leather sheaths, but prefer them on Bushcrafter type knives, BHK's leather sheaths are great.

This is an easy question, unless you're hung up on the small difference in price, go with the BHK.

The TOPS BOB Knife is a really stout knife, and I'm able to get it to screaming sharp on the stones with relatively little effort. It is heavier and more substantial than the Mora Black (I have one of those as well), and is just fantastic quality. However, the sheathe is a tad gimmicky. I don't have a BHK knife, however, the pictures I see of them always make them seem like beautiful, well executed knives.

I would give you one word of caution. If I was going to buy a knife to USE, it would be the TOPS BOB. It's not a particularly attractive knife, and it feels weighty and solid in the hand. BHK knives are exceptionally beautiful, and I know that for me personally, I wouldn't want to take it out into the woods and beat on it. It would sit in my knife chest with my other beautiful knives I don't want to get messed up.

Now, if you're not the type to have an issue with that, then I'd say you'd be happier with either knife.
